Ball Says: “Consumers staying home over the last months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, has resulted in shifts in demand for food storage containers like Ball® branded glass jars and lids. Ball and the entire canning industry have experienced an unprecedented demand. The demand has resulted in supply constraints, extended lead times, and recently limited product availability at stores and online. ”
Unfortunately, Ball seems to be favouring the big corporates in the USA as such they will give no indication when they will be supplying internationally again.
We recommend you look at the French and German-made Le Parfait, Weck, and Rex (rather than the low-quality, lead-based Chinese jars.) These alternatives have been manufactured in Europe for over 100 years and are more than twice the thickness of the Ball brand.

Bormioli Rocco Quattro Stagioni 250ml Preserving Jar. Comes with 70mm lid. 9.3cm high,8.6 cm round.
This bottle is ideal for preserving jams, jellies, tapenades and pestos. It can also be used decoratively at weddings and other occasions: fill it with sweets or a homemade preserve for a truly memorable occasion. The bottle features beautiful etching on its sides and comes complete with a lid which incorporates a pop top seal to help you visually see that a vacuum has formed during the preserving process.
The Bormioli Rocco Quattro Stagioni range is one of the most advanced collections of preserving jars around and the secret is all in the lid. The lid has a commercial-grade one-piece design that features a pop top and a high-tech seal that maximises venting during the preserving process to form a strong hermetic seal. Safety is everything in preserving, and Quattro Stagioni is a name you can trust.
The fine tradition of the Bormioli Rocco Group coincides with the very history of glass: the first glassworks was established in Parma in 1825. Over the years Bormioli Rocco has developed a special talent, that of combining time-honoured craftsmanship and the passion of master glassmakers with modern industrial processes.
